Yay - it's not migraines

About 2 weeks ago I was waiting for the garden hose-reel to wind back up, when the wind caught the lid on the box it lives in, at the same moment I lent over to untangle the hose. It fell on my neck, missing my spine thank Goodness. It caught me on my neck behind my ear & knocked me to my knees & I must admit the air was pretty blue for a while as I realized I wasn't bleeding & not seeing double.

This lid measures 28" x 36"

If you look real close you can see the flimsy hook just below the top right corner.

Now I am keeping that huge heavy lid up with this big plank

I have had awful headaches since but knew they weren't migraines & most of my days since the accident I have felt like I was hungover - not the nicest feeling in the world.

I saw my Dr yesterday to find out what was up & he tells me I have damaged a nerve that goes up the outside of the scull, so I am on some anti-inflammatory capsules that hopefully will heal the nerve.. But I am so happy it is not migraines & hopefully the headaches will start to go soon

Love the hair cut and I am so glad that you found an easy solution to the headaches!!
Thanks too for the birthday wishes! It was a fine day, quiet and easy.
Hopefully soon you'll be able to bead!
Cheers, Denise

Ellen

At least now you know why you have had these headaches. I hope that the pills help.

Hugs, Helaine

Thanks Denise & Helaine - I'm hoping that they start to fade away real fast, I miss my beading time

Honey;

What an owwwie that was. Concusion is what you had. Did your ears ring a bit. You are lucky you didn't fracture your skull. Did your doctor have you get an x-ray. Lots of fractures go undetected until you come up with vision and sinus problems later on.

When I had a car accident we did not know that I had fractured my jaw in that accident until 8 years later when I had dental films. I had such horrific pain from my compound fractured back that the jaw went unnoticed.

I am so glad you are back to feeling better. I must say to you what Lee says to me. "Now honey you have to remember that you are mature now and need to be more careful". I nearly brained him for that one.

Take care my lassy.

Thanks Illaya, the headaches are gone thank Goodness!! We were down visiting Joe's mom in Camas last week (week b4 that?) & stopped by to pick somethin up from my future BIL while we were there. He's a Chiropractor & gave me a free adjustment for my neck which seems to have straightened out any kinks I had too..

I use a heat pad in the evenings when I am sitting beading but apart from that, I'm almost as good as new ;9
