Making Mermaids

I got the urge to make some mermaids this week, so I have 2 down & who knows how many to go LOL
I made this gal first & she is pretty slim & 11" tall - I think she needs a few more curves, don't you?
This one took some fiddly sewing but I like her shape a lot more, she is 10" tall..

Of course they will both end up with beads, at least that is the plan as it stands now ;o)

My MIL gave me a bunch of fabric when her home was being sold last year & this is from her stash - perfect for mermaids in my opinion

I've been craving mermaids as well...They keep coming to me in my dreams...I hope that they will flow through to fabric as soon as I am feeling well enough! Thanks for sharing your inspiration...Camilla

Love the dolls, Ellen. Especially the second one. Isn't that how you think of Mermaids?

Hey, wish I had the mermaids figure! You reminded me, I made some goddess dolls last year and never finished them. I am shamed into gettting them out of the UFO box right now...Kath x

Looking forward to seeing the completed Mermaids, that is going to be some serious amount of beading ahead of you. As to the curves, why should all the big busted gals have all the fun :)
