The Polar Bear

I have been working on this for Joe, he used to work on Tug Boats up in the Arctic Circle, all around Alaska & the Bering Sea.

Polar Bears are favorites of his, so I thought this would be a good gift for him.

I still need to bead around Mr Bear, who will then be framed & go on the wall. He is about 3.5" long & I used silver lined matt size 15s for him.

I am just getting over a nasty bout of sinusitis which really put me on my tush - 3 days in bed while on antibiotics! I still can't smell a darn thing & my ears are popping like a bag of popcorn going off LOL but I am breathing freely now & I didn't get any congestion on my chest which I consider a blessing.

O, I think that is the bug I am getting.

Love the polar bear. He is a great subject. Especially now, with all the talk of global warming and signs that the polar bears are in danger. Can't wait to see him finished.

Hi Ellen,

Glad to hear you're feeling better, hope you get past the 'popcorn' stage soon! Your polar bear is a little wonder, all that detail in such a small space, lucky Joe!

I really like the looks of this polar bear! He is beautiful and I love how you defined areas of his body with just changing the direction of the beads you used! Very clever of you. Cant wait to see it finished!

Thak you all! He was a challenging little fellow & I'm pleased he turned out as well as he has. I'm trying to catch up on my BJP pages before I finish him off.

Yes Denise 15s, it's the only way to get detail with something so small..

Oh & my sinus problem has cleared up finally, we now have clear sunny days here with no doubt is helping with that as well..
