And yes, I did change my mind again about my pages but hey that's a Woman's Prerogative, isn't it? I decided that as lovely as the Nancy Doll is, it was bigger than I wanted & I was also finding beading on a stuffed form harder than it used to be due to some issues with my wrist.
My pages are oval 5" x 33/4" & backed with fusible Pellon interfacing & will be mounted on leather.
My plan is to match the face with the month of birth but some months have more than one birthday so as my Sisters & my dear Mother come first, the rest will fill in the gaps..
Here is September - This is Nancy, my oldest sister & you can read more about her if you scroll down a few posts or click on the link above.
December is Isabell, my youngest sister, who celebrates 55 on the 17th of this month. She has 3 sons & 5 grandchildren. Her & her DH own a motel down home in New Zealand, so if you are heading down to New Plymouth in Taranaki, NZ, be sure to stop by & say hi.
I still have to do November's page & I am waiting on my girlfriend to bring me a picture so that I can get hers started..
Meanwhile I am working at getting my pages attached to the leather or Ultra Suede which I am using to display them..

Hi, Ellen. I am so sorry to hear you've been depressed. It seems to be going around with beaders lately.
It's interesting that although you're not beading ocean pieces this year you're still using blues! I love what you are doing, the embroidery is beautiful, as are your sisters and granddaughter.
Take care of yourself,
Susan
I like your switch in form a lot. They are dolls, but look like frames also. Your beading is beautiful.
These are gorgeous! You are going to have a lovely display after the year is done... I like your blog, I always like seeing bits of the country where people live....
I was thinking what pam said...what a wonderful piece you will have at the end of the year...a year of blessings in your life.
Glad to see you back again, Ellen. Love what you are doing with the pictures. Neat idea!
